Fausto Tobal - Executive President
Fausto Tobal, with a remarkable tenure of over 16 years, has been at the helm of WOPA as its President. Beyond his leadership, Fausto is a devoted husband, a loving father, and an ordained minister. His passion for nurturing growth and fostering positivity shines through in his commitment to both WOPA's mission and the community. Not only does he guide our organization with expertise, but he also lends a hand as a Human Services Specialist at the Passaic County Board of Social Services. With a heart that loves to laugh and uplift others, Fausto embodies the essence of WOPA's drive for positive change.
George Guzman - Chief Operating Officer
Born and raised in the vibrant city of Paterson, George Guzman, Jr. has carved a distinguished path in both law enforcement and public service. His leadership shines as he holds the esteemed role of Police Captain, second-in-command within his agency. Beyond law enforcement, George's commitment extends to education and community engagement – he is a dedicated member of the Haledon Public School District Board of Education and actively contributes to the Haledon Recreation Department. George's exemplary career has been marked by accolades such as The Chief's Star, the Gallantry Star, and the Distinguished Volunteer Service Award. Amid his professional commitments, he finds joy in family moments, coaching local sports, and providing mentorship to those seeking guidance.
Abel Jimenez Tobal - Senior Executive Vice President
Abel Jimenez has been an integral part of WOPA since its inception in 2006. Over the years, he has contributed significantly by assuming various roles that support the president's vision. Abel's dedication has taken him to places like El Salvador, Nicaragua, Peru, and the Dominican Republic, where he's experienced firsthand the impact of WOPA's initiatives. His passion for positive change resonates deeply, as he continues to play a vital role in an organization that genuinely aims to improve the world. Outside of his commitments, Abel finds joy in leisure activities such as playing dominoes and cherishing moments with his beloved family.
Rafael Tobal
Rafael Tobal's journey with WOPA began in its very inception in March 2006. A devoted family man, he shares his life with his wife Daisy and three grown children. Armed with a bachelor's degree from Montclair State University, Rafael serves as a Criminal Investigator for the State of New Jersey's Office of the Public Defender. Beyond his professional pursuits, he's a steadfast Christian, characterized by his unwavering dedication and strong work ethic. As a community leader, Rafael collaborates closely with authorities to effect positive change in people's lives, steering them towards a brighter direction.
Jessi Tobal - Communications and Public Relations Director
Jessi Tobal has been a long standing member of WOPA and has supported the organization in many roles throughout the years. She has been happily married for almost 28 years and has 2 adult sons, Brandon and Jonathan. Jessi works as a Technical Support Advisor for Bio-Rad Laboratories. She loves to travel, dance Zumba, play games, and ensure self-care. Jessi is also an active member in her church and enjoys helping out people in need. With WOPA she has traveled on relief trips and looks forward to continuing to make the world a better place for years to come.
Hannah Tobal - Youth Director
Hannah serves as WOPA’s youth director. She graduated from William Paterson University in 2021 where she obtained her Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She loves to do puzzles, travel, and spend time with her family and friends. With WOPA, she has participated in many projects assisting the youth, specifically with the packing and distribution of school supplies. Hannah loves being a part of an organization that helps improve peoples lives around the world.
Jonathan Tobal - Membership Director
Jonathan Tobal serves WOPA as the Membership Director. His main responsibilities are to keep a tally of all members and to collect their dues. Jon is happily married to his wonderful wife, Hannah Tobal. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics and serves the community of Passaic County as a Human Service Specialist. Jon’s passions are helping others, enjoying sports, and spending time with his family. WOPA has been a pillar throughout his life and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.
Deanna Ishikawa - Fundraiser Director
Deanna Ishikawa has participated in WOPA since Fall of 2008. Her first trip was to the Dominican Republic where she fell in love with the local children and knew that she had to continue participating in an organization who was changing the world. Deanna works as a General Manager in the online casino space overseeing product management and marketing. When not working she enjoys spending time with her two young boys and husband.
Rene Tobal - Education Director
Rene Tobal has been working for the State of New Jersey for 17 years and 4 months. He has a Bachelor Degree in Political Science from William Paterson University and an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Bergen Community College. Rene has three beautiful children Shanel, Maxwell and Clarisse. He loves God, his children, and singing.
Daisy Tobal - Assistant to the President
Daisy Tobal was born in the Dominican Republic and has lived in New Jersey since 1997. She has been married for 25 years and has a daughter and two stepsons. Daisy has been a member in WOPA since 2007 and has worked for Friendship Corner Day Care for 19 years as a family worker. In addition, she has earned 70 credits towards her college degree at Passaic County Community College.
Brandon Tobal - Technology Director
Brandon Tobal is a high school math teacher with years of experience working with youth and education. Known as both kind and patient Brandon Tobal has been able to inspire countless students to achieve their full potential.
In addition to teaching, Brandon Tobal Is always looking to serve and help in multiple endeavors. Whether it's taking trips to the Dominican Republic, feeding the hungry, educating the uneducated , Brandon is always happy to help it serve and whatever he can. He loves being a part of WOPA, and all the good that he can do through them.
Jackeline Santana - Finance Director
Jackeline Santana was born and raised in NYC. She currently resides in Lincoln Park, NJ. Jackeline has been working for Abko Music and Records Inc, as their Director of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for the past 26 years. She is a mother to a beautiful and amazing daughter, Brianna who she is super proud of. She is passionate about helping people. She enjoys a nice dinner with friends, a beautiful day at the beach, taking long walks and working out. Last but least she loves traveling.
James Musico - Executive Secretary
James Musico has been the Secretary of the Board for two years now and has been a board member for over five years. He has over twelve years of experience volunteering, fundraising, and facilitating board meetings in the non-profit sector. James is a Marine Corps Veteran and grew up in Northern New Jersey. In James' free time he enjoys spending time with family as well as football and baseball. He prides himself on doing the most he an for the community and charity.
Joel Heredia - Communication Director
For more than a decade, Joel has supported and volunteered with WOPA on various projects and events. In that time, he has grown to love and appreciate preforming acts of service with my fellow volunteers and board members whom share the same values and strive to impact the world with their positive actions.
